  • building with ground floor + first floor (new construction, 465,97 m²), which is connected to the existing museum on ground floor and first floor levels, and its visitor circulation route leads through the new building to the inner courtyard; 
  • the building is constructed of load-bearing ceramic masonry with reinforced concrete pillars in places 
  • the façade of the inner courtyard is entirely of profiled glass / translucent thermal insulation sandwich construction (filtered, opalescent, papyrus-like translucency ideal for the operation of exhibitions) 
  • upstairs is the exhibition space (the courtyard wall is a translucent surface that can be completely blacked out with internal blacout blinds), an enclosed and an open mechanical space, with natural ventilation vents in the ceiling;
  • access to the ground floor from the exhibition space is by lift or accessible stairs; 
  • on the ground floor, there will be an interactive exhibition space, wet rooms and a museum shop/café, as well as additional back-up rooms (mechanical room, RACK room, cleaning supplies storage, other storage); 
  • the opening surface of the courtyard façade will have a 5.5 m wide fully opening accordion door and a 1.9 m wide flush escape door; 
  • a wide consumer terrace in front of the façade, connected to the garden by a flight of steps; 
  • the mezzanine and courtyard are connected by a standard accessibility ramp, the mezzanine openings are standard for accessibility, the wet block consists of male/female/barrier-free units.
